Privacy Notice

Effective 16 July 2026. Version 2026-07-16.

This notice explains how TCMeet uses personal information collected through tcmeet.com and the pre-launch early-access waiting list. It does not yet cover the full mobile dating service, which will have an expanded privacy notice before public beta access begins.

1. Who controls your information

TCMeet is a UK-based pre-launch project and is the data controller for the information collected through this website and waiting list.

General and privacy enquiries: hello@tcmeet.com

Early-access enquiries: beta@tcmeet.com

2. Information we collect

When you join early access, we may collect:

3. Community-background information

Community background is optional. It may reveal racial or ethnic origin and is therefore treated with additional care. We use it only where you have given explicit consent, to understand the early community, plan outreach and decide where TCMeet should launch first.

You can choose “Prefer not to say”. You can also withdraw this consent at any time by emailing hello@tcmeet.com. Withdrawing consent does not affect use that was lawful before withdrawal.

4. Why we use information and our lawful bases

Administering early access

We use contact, location and eligibility information to record your interest, manage the waiting list, send your welcome message and contact you about an invitation. We rely on our legitimate interests in operating a genuine pre-launch waiting list and taking steps requested by people who want early access.

Optional community-background information

We rely on your consent and explicit consent. You do not have to provide this information to join the waiting list.

Optional launch news and community updates

We send optional promotional updates only where you have chosen to receive them. We rely on consent. You can withdraw that choice at any time.

Security and abuse prevention

We use IP addresses, request information and administrative records to protect the website, enforce rate limits, prevent automated submissions and investigate misuse. We rely on our legitimate interests in keeping TCMeet and its users secure.

Legal obligations and claims

We may use or disclose information where required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell waiting-list information. We may share limited information with:

6. International processing

Some service providers may process information outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, we use recognised contractual or other lawful transfer protections.

7. How long we keep information

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:

To exercise a right, email hello@tcmeet.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

9. Leaving the waiting list

You can leave the waiting list, withdraw an optional consent or change your contact preferences by emailing hello@tcmeet.com from the address you used to join.

10. Children

TCMeet early access is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly accept waiting-list registrations from children.

11. Automated decisions

The pre-launch waiting list does not use solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

12. Security

We use technical and organisational measures intended to protect waiting-list information. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure, but access is limited and the public form includes rate limiting and validation.

13. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as TCMeet develops. The effective date and version at the top will change when a material revision is published. A broader notice will be provided before the mobile app begins processing full profiles, photographs, messages or verification information.
